With the recent influx of new patients to our clinic, some of our Doctors have temporarily closed their books. We are doing our best to continue to engage locum Doctors and attract permanent Doctors to the practice.
We run cancellation lists as a back-up for when we are fully booked. These lists do refresh each day. We encourage patients to call us from 8:30am weekdays and from 9am Saturdays to go on the list.
There are spots reserved for bookings throughout the week. These appointments are not able to be booked ahead of time by reception, but sometimes are used up by our Doctors, so they are not always available every day. We encourage patients to call us from 8:30am weekdays and from 9am Saturdays to check for availability of these reserved appointments.
BMH is a private practice, with mixed billing (Bulk Billing available at the Doctor’s discretion). In order to provide the best possible customer service, we are able to provide 30 day payment terms on a case-by-case basis. Please email manager@banksiamedical.com.au or speak with reception before your appointment to discuss this option. We believe in providing accessible, timely care for our patients.
Our Eftpos machines are equipped with Medicare Easyclaim for quick and easy rebate returns.
Payment is required on the day.
The Department of Human Services Medicare Program provides a financial contribution towards certain medical services, called a rebate. Unfortunately, over the years the Medicare Rebate has not kept up with the costs of running a Private Practice. The Gap is the extra cost on top of the Medicare Rebate that makes up the recommended fee for service, according to the Australian Medical Association. This is an out of pocket expense.
